Expect the Great

In this year of 2016, this has been one of the songs that has been in my spirit. We must have an expectation for the great daily. If we do not expect greater to happen, then how can we praise God before He opens those doors. If you have seen before where it is said to praise God in the hallway and there are pictures of doors and all of that.  This song may be two to three or more years old, but it is timeless because in a new year and season of life it relates. You have to expect to go higher and accomplish your goals and dreams. If you want something, you have to work hard in order to get it. So as you listen to this song, I want you to spend every moment of your life that you are blessed with on this Earth, to expect the great. Expect the great in your life, in your home, in your family, on your job, for your education, for your career, for your children. Whatever it is that you can think of to expect the great in, do it. Expect the great, expect the great, expect the great, expect the great! Be blessed by this song.

God bless,

Encourage Yourself

Happy New Year!!!! I know it has been a while since I have posted. I looked on the overview of my posts and I said oh wow, let me post something. As I was on the way to work, worry began to flood me. I started quoting the scriptures concerning worry. I said that God is in control. When I started work and began to just start my day, the song encourage yourself came to my mindset. We have to encourage ourselves in God. We can encourage ourselves when we recite the scriptures, look again at the promises that He gave us since last year and from what we may not have yet seen. We have to affirm ourselves and assure ourselves that everything is temporary. What may be up one day can be down the next. We also have to watch what we allow ourselves to be engaged in. Make sure that you are reading, watching and that we are keeping our minds of the things of God. Pour out all of your disappointments and cares to the Lord, He is able to take them.

Here's a song to encourage you this morning:

Remember God can handle it all!

All is Well

This song is so true. When you feel like you're not loved or what have you: All is well. I mean the love from your loved ones or friends. I can honestly say that as I write this, I feel better than I was feeling before. I felt sorry for myself and sometimes we get in that pity party mode. But, I realized that God has made me a designer original and even though people see me collectively and not individually, at least I can say: All is Well. Just when I think that God is not working, He is especially behind the scenes. It will happen for me in due time. I've been feeling a certain way lately. Let me tell you: ignored, looked over, pushed to the side, having no sense of worth or value. You can use this against me if you will because if God be for me..... At some point we all think this way especially women. I have probably worn my emotions on my sleeve more now than ever but I thank God that I don't act on them. Like I said in a few tweets: apology is wise even when you feel like you've been wronged,  it is wise to keep silent than to say how you really feel at times.  These save you from trouble and even though you may feel upset or what have you, it is okay because it won't last always. We have to speak life to ourselves. We have to say all is well. When someone asks me how I'm doing , I say I'm well and you? This may not be true, but I speak to myself claiming that I am well and that in spite of what I face I still am able to respond with something that may not be. Remember as you listen to this song: Whatever the situation, whatever the circumstance, however you may feel: All is Well.

God bless,

It's Working for Our Good

No matter what life brings us, know that it's working.
IT IS WORKING!
This process that we are going through is preparing us for a better latter than former. Our former may not have looked all that great before but it we just hold on and hold out. We trust and believe in God who is able. Then we will be better than we did before. If we focus on our problems, then it will just eat at us and it will seem like a dead end. When we give our problems to God who is bigger yes BIGGER than our problems, then it makes life easier. He gives us joy for our sorrow, He's our hope for tomorrow. Look to Him because it is working. I believe that it is MY season for grace, for favor. Everything that I have sown, I SHALL reap. It is working for our good no matter how or what it may seem like. When you see your brother or sister looking down, tell them that it's working. Show them that through your life, your faith. That's why we must keep our demeanor as a child of the Most High because you never know who you may helping or who is looking at you. It's working. Be blessed.

Thanksgiving: Try it Sometimes!

Instead of asking God for what we want, how about we give Him what He deserves. He deserves thanksgiving from us. That's praising Him and when the praises go up the blessings come down.  We shouldn't ask all the time. It is good but He knows our desires before we even ask. I had challenged some people to just do a prayer of thanksgiving a day. I did it earlier last week and the prayer took up four pages in my journal. That's amazing isn't it? I mean that's a whole lot of gratefulness as it should be. There are things that we take for granted on the daily basis and we forget to thank God for. Instead of asking, let's be thankful. He is worthy of it and worthy of the praise and glory. This post may not be as long, but think about what you overcame, what you may have missed on the way of going somewhere whether an accident or a bullet. It is only the grace of God that I know I am here today. I should have been dead but God kept me and this means that He sees me as valuable. That's something to most definitely be thankful for. People that don't even realize how blessed they are don't thank God but it doesn't matter how they thank God it matters about how you thank God. It is a relationship between God and us. We must show our love and our appreciation for Him. This is the man who came down and wrapped Himself in flesh for you and I. When I think of the many MANY things that He has done for me, I get so happy and joyful. For the joy of the Lord is my strength. I have to give Him all the praise and glory. Your thanksgiving for Him may just be your way of receiving your breakthrough that you have been waiting on for a while. So, don't stop and never allow people to get to you. They don't have who you have so they want to laugh you to scorn. But they surely laughed our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to scorn  too. So, who are we? Let us just thank Him for all He has done and all He is doing. You can start with saying:
Lord I thank You for a healthy body
Thank You for life
Thank you for Grace and Mercy.
These are only just a few of the things if you dig deep and you don't even have to dig deep but just touch the surface then surely you will see the benefit of praising and thanking Him. Speak of that, I have to journal my thankfulness to Him today. I have today in prayer but this I should set aside. If you don't do it daily where you set it aside, it is okay because if you do it in prayer then that's thankfulness.

God bless!

Pray! Pray! Pray!

When I say PRAY, I mean PRAY!
Like never before we must pray. It is time to take a stand and show people that the church is not having it. God wants to be glorified and lifted up so that people can draw to Him. It is only God because for New Years Eve, my Pastor brought the word forth and he said that the church needs to get back to praying. Prayer is not done as much as it ought to be done. So, it was a warning to say that this year we need to pray like never before. I say Amen to that. Then, one of my sisters from this online website that I'm apart of called PINKY PROMISE which was founded by Heather Lindsey put up something in the group chat that I am involved in about #TagTeamPrayer started by #SavedinStyle. I checked it out and to pray on at least one thing for 40 days is AMAZING!!!!! I mean the founder of Saved in Style started doing this challenge on her own and she says that God moves in a ways that are unspeakable and in a way that you have never experienced before. This prayer challenge is so great and I feel like I am closer to God than I was before. Just like I was talking about in another blog with the book Romancing the King. God desires us. He wants to come to Him for EVERYTHING no matter how ridiculous or how little it may seem to us. When we are upset, pray. When we feel like giving up, pray. When we feel happy, pray. No matter what we must not stop praying.

Pray is essential. It is our communication with God. We give ourselves away to Him in prayer.
So if you want to do something different, then pray to the Creator our God who made everything around us.

"In order to get something different, you have to do something that you've never done".

What He Desires

You're probably wondering what does this book have to do with what He The Almighty God desires? Well to answer your question a lot and I mean A LOT! When I read the first chapter of this book I was amazed. Even reading the forewords which had two forewords instead of one for whatever reason I have no clue. But, we always want God to touch our hearts and He does but what about His heart. This book is about finding intimacy with God. We all know what intimacy is, right? According to Dictionary.com, Intimacy is a close, familiar and usually affectionate or loving personal relationship with another person or group. Now obviously God is a person but He's not even a person but a spirit. For He longs for us and desires a close relationship with each and every one of us. Some people joke that He would be cheating on me if I call Him my husband. That's not possible because He is this GREAT BIG GOD. He is everything you can think of and much more. He wants that intimacy with us. As a single person, I see Him as my husband and someone that I need to have a close, intimate relationship with. It needs to start with Him because if you have a closeness with Him all of your other relationships including the husband that will come later will be great. If your relationship with God is not good then how can you expect your other relationship to be good?  I am currently on chapter 3 of this book, I have the kindle edition. It is sooooo good. I am learning a lot from this author. This author knows what intimacy with God is like. It is amazing how he even puts his own story with God as well. In the beginning of this book, he makes a comparison between his role as a dad to God who is The Father. It was amazing and it made me think about how much I really give what God wants. God wants to have intimacy too just remember that. This book will show you that so get it if you want to build your relationship with God more. Of course, I know we all do. Worship Him, take Him out as Heather Lindsey says and just spend time with Him as if you would spend time with a friend or loved one.

Stay blessed
